The VA Aid and Attendance award amounts have increased for 2017!
We are happy to be the bearers of great news for our Veterans! According to the 2017 update, the new award amounts for the Aid and Attendance Benefit are as follows:
For a single Veteran: $1,794
For a surviving spouse: $1,153
For a Married Veteran: $2,127
For two married veterans who are both in need of Aid and Attendance: $2,846
The Veterans’ Compensation COLA Act of 2016 – provides vets with the same percentage increase to be applied to Social Security.
The Cost-of-Living Adjustments increase is based on the percentage increase of Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers of the third quarter of 2016.
The Social Security, military retiree and veterans benefits changes affect more than 70 million Americans, about 22 percent of the country’s population.
